lnsurers assess and accept risks on the basis of the infonnation provided to them. It is important that you advise us of any matter that could affect the insurer's decision.

The following are examples of possible changes to the risk:

  • Changes to activities or services during the policy period, including contracts of a different size & type than you would normally undertake
  • Projects or work performed above 26th parallel
  • Any risk in, on, under or over water or in a waterway or watercourse (dry or not) or related to dams other similar containment of water
  • Marine works of any kind including work on vessels or with vessels and any work involving ports, docks or wharves
  • Civil works other than site preparations for buildings
  • Oil, gas or petrochemical works or services
  • Experimental, prototype or novel works & services
  • Waste or landfill works or services, any pipeline works or services
  • Any pipeline works or services
  • Any contract involving the use of explosives or blasting
  • Works or services involving railways or aviation including fuel
  • Operations involving harmful materials or chemicals
  • Any works where demolition, or installation of plant is more than 50% of the contract value
  • Tunnelling works and any activity below ground (other than excavation for buildings or foundations) or excavations of any artificial subterranean passage for the purpose of roads, railways, work ways or services
  • Any work solely involving weakening or removal of structural supports
  • Any work solely involving raising, lowering, underpinning or restumping existing properties
  • Works involving heritage structures or dilapidated structures
  • Supply of products of any kind as business revenue separate from your construction work
